Maximum number of page parents?

Hey guys,

I’m trying to use wordpress as a cms, so I have the whole static front page thing going on, and I’m using a lot of pages (parents and children). I now have three parent pages, respectively containing 8, 4 and 2 children. Then I created another page to use as parent, but when I try to make a child I can’t find the parent I created for it in the dropdown box.

Am I making sense?

Anyway, is there some kind of maximum on how many pages and/or parents and children you can create? Any thoughts on this would be great!
