I have set up a couple of galleries on a site I’m developing and I’m struggling to override the default option to include all images on a certain page within the gallery.

Within the thumbnail gallery only the images I’ve chosen appear, but within the fullscreen carousel itself everything on the page is there. I had previously had the same issue on one page but managed to resolve it using ‘edit gallery’. However, after a recent plugin update that gallery has reverted to including every image, and another that I have just set up has done the same. I cannot find a way to override this.

Within the text editor the gallery shortcode is: [gallery columns="4" link="file" include="521,366,367,368,373,371,370,369,372,375"]

The numbers listed here are the correct images, but when I click on the gallery there is another image in the carousel that is not listed here.

I hope I’ve explained this clearly. I’d be very grateful of any help you could offer.
    Thanks

Yes I think it now works like “all pictures in a post and from include list”. It’s a bug. If include is there it should show only those. To the TODO list…

This was a bit more complicated than I thought. Since (currently) one post can have only one fullscreen gallery there must be a way to show also images that are elsewhere on the post. Now (0.6.6) it shows only images that are linked to image file in carousel.

Well I’m not certain if you have identical problem, but i was able to to solve this before by uploading the images via media library, therefore images there “unattached” so i could free use any of them.

If you do the upload via page or post -> add media, it will automatically attach (can check this in the “uploaded to” column in the media library) that media file to the post/page it was inserted from, so later even if you deselect some of the images it would still show all the images attached that post/page

This was the issue in the 0.6x version, not sure if it was fixed, but that was the solution i managed to find after long hours of recreating/re-uploading image galleries

    Marking as resolved.
