Well, the plugin somewhat does the job when using an internal URL. But it's kinda useless if I can't access the site in the first place =P
The problem is, my blog is in a subdirectory.

Which plugin?
Don't be so enigmatic.
Name the plugin, give a link to it... etc.
Not my fault that the extend section is not well integrated with the forums... anyway...
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/permalink-validator/
I used this: http://wordpress.org/tags/permalink-validator#postform
Have updated the plugin to version 0.4, so now it should correctly handle a static frontpage that shows posts in WP 2.2.
If the new version still doesn't work for you, then please give me your permalink-structure and WP version and then I will try to re-produce your problem and hopefully fix it.
Now it works as it should :)
This plugin should solve all the permalink problems that a WP user might have, so, congratulations =)
Tested with all this situations:
http://www.domain.com/wordpress/
http://www.domain.com/wordpress
http://domain.com/wordpress/
http://domain.com/wordpress
http://www.domain.com/wordpress/post/
http://www.domain.com/wordpress/post
http://domain.com/wordpress/post/
http://domain.com/wordpress/post
Thanks for updating on the error being resolved.
It is quite a jungle with the possible permalink combinations one can do with the new frontpage options in WP 2.2.
Hello,
The plugin doesnt work with WP 2.3.1 also with http://blog.mydomain.com/
Thanks a lot for any update.
Hi Razeus
I have test Permalink Validator with Wordpress 2.3 and haven't found any problems.
I can see from your other posts that you are having problems getting rid of index.php. Have you solved those problems ? (Permalink Validator cannot help you with removing the index.php from the url)
Please give me your permalink structure settings (Post, Categories, Tags) before you answer the following questions:
- Are you using a static page as frontpage ?
- What happens when using the URL of your blog homepage ?
- What happens when using the URL of a blog post ?
- What happens when using the URL of a post category ?
Best regards
-Rolf
