Hello,
I have the same problem.
It worked but something append and it’s gone…
Now it automatically opens the first pic of my gallery even if there’s an #ID in the end of the url !
There’s an option in settings -> medias, for easy fancybox that allow you to link a image/video/file with an ID, it’s called auto-open.
Try that and you have to place id=”fancybox-auto”.
I can’t assure it to you anymore as it doesn’t work anymore :/

Look at my WS, click on a image and there’ll be a link “URL”.

Hi charicfc, for point 2 you need to do this:
– give each image link a unique ID
– put this code in a text widget (or in footer.php) :
<script type="text/javascript">
window.onload = function() {
if(window.location.hash) {
jQuery(window.location.hash).trigger('click');
}
};
</script>
From now on, appending the page URL with #ID
will make the image with that ID open automatically. See an example (with PDF’s not images, but the principle remains the same) on http://demo.status301.net/easy-fancybox-sandbox/pdf-embeds/#link1
Hope you’re now one step closer to what you want 😉
Thank both of you for the feedback. Will try and implement it and provide feedback once completed.

Hi jerominrebatet
Can you please tell me which plugins you used on the following website gallery:
http://www.starbasket.fr/photos-des-camps/camps-2011/la-baule-3/
Are you using the nextgen gallery + fancybox plugins?
Also, which social buttons code plugin are you using on your fancybox modal?
Does #2076 get added by the nextgen plugin or is that custom code which does that?

Thanks,
