downloading new template – PHP Error

    I downloaded a template and see the image with the two default pages. When I select the new template and attempt to view, I get the following message:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: the_search_query() in /home/greenhom/public_html/greenhomeguru/wp-content/themes/greenhomeguru/header.php on line 37

    Line 37 is:
    <p><input name=”s” type=”text” class=”src_field” value=”<?php the_search_query(); ?>” /></p>

    Can anyone help?
