    You can use HTML in the long description field, I believe. We haven’t extensively experimented with it in all types of fields. WordPress tends to strip things out that it doesn’t like, and that’s one of them.

    Can you tell me more about what you’re trying to actually accomplish here with the HTML? Perhaps there is a different/better way.

    just a simple hyperlink in a text area field.

    Have you tried to do this in the Long Description field already?

    not sure when/if u will get this as it appears im being hyper-moderated on these forums…but it looks like it works in the long description field.

    what does that tell u?

    Hi antioch,

    Well, that says you can definitely put anchor tags into the Long Description to add hyperlinks the way you want. I do not remember if this extends to all types of fields. The control type doesn’t dictate that, the field does (if I remember correctly).

    Are you trying this in another field and finding that it doesn’t work?
