I purchased a premium theme that uses Options Framework to build out their theme options.

I would like to create my own options panel, separate from their theme options page for a client to use. (Just simple text fields and image uploader instead of the whole kitchen sink of options.)

Installing the plugin won’t work, so I need to modify some files manually.

Any tips on where to start? I want to create a new section under the Appearance tab that controls my own theme options separate from the one that currently exists in the theme I am using.

You can copy their options.php into the child theme, and then add/remove any options you don’t want.

You can put any custom options underneath a different tab

Hi Devin, I just installed Portfolio Press and am trying to set up my homepage but I cannot even find any theme options, for ex. color etc. Could you help?
Another problem is that 2 days ago I changed something in the HTML of another theme as I am trying to integrate complete self-made pages into wordpress, without success. Any possibility to return back and repair that? By the way, I still did not find the solution to integrate our self-made creative and artistic pages.
Thanks in advance for your help,
    Renate

You need to install the Options Framework plugin to load the options panel.

Can’t help you recover old files/changeset. Sorry.
