How merge blogroll and categories titles

I want my blogroll headings and the categories of my posts to share same-titled headings.

By mistake I got one set of them to merge into one numbered item in my managed list but can’t figure out how to do it with other sets.

I was running 2.1; I’ve since upgraded to 2.2 and don’t yet know what changes in this version. I haven’t yet tried merging sets to see if it’s easier in 2.2
