• Hi, my website’s forms were working just fine until a few days back (nothing changed except the WordPress update). All of a sudden when someone filled in a form they would receive the green confirmation message but I would never get the email notification.

After much testing I can let you know it was all forms (so the issue wasn’t form specific), it wasn’t an issue with the notification email going to Spam or the wrong email address (I double-checked all of that)…

Eventually I found out that if the person fills in the form using Firefox or IE that it worked. However when I test it in Safari I get the problem described above.

Any help? An example of a form still live (I took other ones down as people couldn’t contact me and I need them to be able to): http://www.poweryogaworks.com/500-hour-yoga-training-application/

  • hello,

did you ever find an answer to this problem? I am experiencing it on a client’s site after upgrading CF7…

    No I never found a solution 🙁

after a bit of testing yesterday it turned out that the email address of the client that the form was set to send to was no longer active. They had switched hosts and transferred the domain. So it would work when I used my own email, but every time I added theirs it stopped working in Safari. I set up their email address again and then it started working properly.

That seemed to fix it for us. So far anyway…

I am having a similar problem with this Contact7 form. When on my site I tried to leave a comment and it no longer sends that comment to my email that I have set in the CF7. It tells me that it was sent though. I too use Safari. I know that it is not my spam filter and that the email is current and working. Any suggestions??

install plugin ‘Contact Form to DB Extension’ (* I am not the plugin creator so am not responsible if anything goes wrong but it’s one I found recently as a client needed to collate all email submissions).

This saves all contact form submissions into the database and you can view them within the wp admin area (I think it is accessed within the contact section off admin menu bar). In there you will see if the submissions are being registered. IF they are then it must be something to do with the email. Try using a different email address and test again.

Hopefully that may help you identify where things are stopping working.
