• a) I’m unable to reply to comments from within the Dashboard, so I have to go to the main blog and then respond. That takes a lot of time.

    (Please note that while I can approve a comment from inside the dashboard, it takes a very long time to do so, as if the computer were processing a major file. In the past it was a simple toggle action.)

    b) When I try to edit the permanent URL (permalink) of a blog post it doesn’t let me do it. The screen simply scrolls and moves to the bottom of the post and basically does nothing.

    Would appreciate assistance on this.

  • Have you made any changes to your website before these problems started? Any new plugins added or upgraded? WordPress version upgraded? Theme change?

    The hosting company upgraded the server recently, and a couple of plugins had to be deleted since they were no longer compatible.

    But other blogs I run with the same company are not affected.

    Also, the problem I’m facing persists even if I entirely disable all plugins on this blog.

    A friend checked every possibility and couldn’t determine the cause, hence I’ve come here for ideas.
