• I’ve just installed the Facebook plugin (v 1.1.11) on my wordpress.org site. The installation tab states that it’s 2 simple steps as follows:

    1. Install Facebook for WordPress either via the WordPress.org plugin directory, or by uploading the files to your server (in the /wp-content/plugins/ directory).

    2. After activating the plugin, you will be asked to set up your Facebook application or enter existing credentials copied from the Facebook Developers site.

I performed step 1 and then step 2. Step 2 above states that subsequent to activation, “you will be asked to set up your Facebook application…”. However this did not happen. I was not asked, nor prompted in any way once I clicked on the “activate” button. All that happened was that I immediately had the facebook plugin sitting in my list of plugins with 3 options listed underneath: Deactivate, Edit & Settings.

When I click on settings, I get the following message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_current_screen() in /data/23/2/67/17/2230506/user/2451151/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/facebook/admin/settings-app.php on line 432

There are no other prompts or errors that I can see. I have no idea what this means nor do I know how to proceed. Does this error have any thing to do with the fact that I wasn’t prompted to set up the application after activation, as the Plugin Instructions promised? I thought this was going to be easier than this… No idea how to resolve the problem.

Any help or guidance would be much appreciated! Thanks!
