Upload the image you want to a favicon maker such as this one
Then upload the image to where your index and other WP files are, then add the proper code to the header.
make sure you hard refresh or reboot before you think you’ve done it wrong. It won’t necessarily show to you right away.
Hi.. Im new at this, and Ive just created my owm icon wich I would like to present in the adressline..

Update..
I just copied the .ico-file into my root directory, and it works fine with Opera.. but it doesnt seems to work in IE..
my favicon works in IE…

in fact, it doesnt show up in FF ! Wonder why, I see that WP favicon does work in FF…
