removing recent posts, recent comments, categories

Hey all,

I’m attempting to alter the product page to remove the sidebar that keeps popping up that displays blog related content like recent posts, recent comments, categories, and other bits of annoyance.

I’ve looked around the internet and found documentation on adding hooks to the php that’ll remove this but to be honest I’m not sure what it specifically even is, or where to add the lines to. Is this creeping into my product page from a php file contained within the woocommerce directory, or is it inserted under the directive of my pages theme?

I’m assuming this is the sidebar but am not sure where to add the required coding. Thanks in advance.
