First and for most, thanks for keep developing great plugin!!

I’m stuck with the problem of Mojibake. In my case, it’s Japanese.
Subject encoding: field of the log for email w/ Non-ASCII subject is missing,
so there might be something wrong with processing subject encoding.
(body part is handled just fine.)

Also, Non-ASCII name of attachment files is not processed correctly. It is
minor problem compared with the subject.

Could you send a sample email with a Japanese subject line to postie-test@devzing.com. I’m working on how to best deal with these subject line encodings.

Tested 1.4.23 and confirmed that Non-ASCII subject string is showing up correctly!! I really appreciate this fix. Thank you, Wayne.

But unfortunately, from this update Non-ASCII body part strings seems not showing up correctly. So does the attachment’s filename. This is not a problem with my specific use case, but it sounds like a bug that cound affect a lot of people.

This bug seems to happen with certain type of smtp client(it did not happen with Gmail Web Interface). I’m not certain, but the cause might be where the smtp client puts “Content-Transfer-Encoding” for “Content-Type: text/plain;”. If it’s in header section, the bug reproduces. If it’s in body section the bug does not reproduce.

Anyway, I will send you same sample email from both affected smtp client and Gmail Web Interface as soon as I find time.
