Specific kind of Gallery/Lightbox needed

Hello I am building a website for a tattoo shop and I want to include an image gallery on each artists page. However I am looking to contain the thumbnails of the gallery in a similar fashion to this. That style is a little crude but the way the images are contained is what im looking for so the page doesn’t become lengthy with thumbnails of new images. Id like the gallery to become a lightbox once you click on a tattoo though and not load like it does there either.

Any plugins you guys are famiiar with that will work? Thanks!
