How to control the slider contents properly?

    I could be missing something, but the slider seems flakey.

    I’d like the slider to ONLY show “Game Reviews that have a Featured Image”. I tried creating a category and limiting the slider to that, but it broke the slider – didn’t seem to work at all.

    So now it’s set for NEWEST POSTS which is catching ALL Game Reviews – but if I make a post, it will show up in there (and I don’t want it to).

    I’d like to make it ONLY show a SUBSET of Game Reviews (only – no posts).

    Thoughts? Thanks!

    I bought the pro theme – but currently I prefer the dark original one.

    With the bug fix come to both?

    Yes, this bug will be fixed with update to parent theme – GamePress. I’ll post info here when it’s available.

    I’ve never had to manually update a theme before. It won’t “install over the top” with the Admin console. Is there an easy way to deploy, or will I just need to extract and upload manually?

    Extract and upload, but it should be possible to just upload .zip through Appereance->Themes->Install and then upload.

    Says the directory already exists and says THEME INSTALLATION FAILED.

    Can I just rename the directory without breaking anything and reup it?

    I’m stuck at a PC that I cannot FTP with, but CAN upload via HTTP. 🙂 Trying to get this installed without waiting until I get home 🙂

    It won’t do you any good, ultimately it has to be in gamepress directory, so I don’t think you’ll be able to do it without FTP.

    I worked out with shell access … 🙂 Thanks.

    I notice the slider now doesn’t have the selectable dots on the bottom – they are almost “hidden” behind the featured image.

    Is it supposed to work like that?

    The way I see it slider has visible dots and they’re not hidden behind featured image. What browser are you using?

    As for question from your email – the slider will display posts even if they don’t have featured image. I might add this option in the future, but I must give it some more thought.
