Custom Post Type not showing on Appearance->Menus for some roles

I made a custom post type and it is generally working awesome. I also have a user role called manager. When logged in as a manager I can see the CPTs (custom post type) listed on the main menu at the side, edit them, create new ones, etc.

However on the Appearance -> Menus page, they’re not listed as possible items to add to menus. If logged in as an administrator they are there, though. how can I make them show up for other user roles?
