• Hello,

I have installed the free version of wptouch. My site displays great. My problem is that when I tap the “read this post” link below each abbreviated post, wptouch simply reloads/refreshes the page rather than displaying the full post.

I did edit the css file, and add a function to “core-functions.php” that lets a user tap to call from the menu. I also added an image to “header.php” between the menu and search bar.

    I have tried:

    1. disabling all plugins
    2. reinstalling wp-touch without the edited files with all plugins disabled.
    3. restoring wp-touch default settings

I am considering purchasing the unlimited wp-touch pro license so that I can use this plugin on sites for my clients, but I need to figure out why the full posts wont display before I do.

    Anyone have any ideas?

My site’s blog can be viewed here: http://www.worldonewebdesign.com/blog/news-and-support

  • We do not support customizations of the free version of WPtouch beyond the options given in the admin interface. Tap-to-call functionality is usually added as a simple link in this format so there shouldn’t be a need to alter core code. :

    <a href="tel:555-555-5555">Call Now!</a>

If you’ve installed a fresh copy of WPtouch and tested with all other plugins disabled, the next step is to temporarily switch to a compatible theme such as TwentyTwelve in order to verify that your WPtouch installation is sound. If it is, then there is likely a conflict with one or more functions in your desktop theme.

WPtouch Pro is fully customizable and can be setup to work around such conflicts. I see you’ve altered the number of posts displaying on the home page so start there to see where the default functionality may have been broken.
