I was working with Events Manager earlier this morning and was able to set it so that individual events come up as pages, not posts. Due to some problems, I had to uninstall and reinstall.

Now, despite the fact that I’ve repeatedly changed and saved it to display event as a PAGE it continues to display as a post and will not display any of my sidebars. Very frustrating. Since I was able to do it this morning, I don’t think it’s a problem with my theme. Help! I want to have it display as a page and be able to have something other than “no sidebar widgets yet” display in the sidebar (which is false anyway-all my sidebars have widgets in them).

  • hi,

have you tried Settings > Pages > Event Pages > Display events as (set as Page) ? or try Settings > General > Admin Tools > Reset

Agelonwl- yes, I’ve tried both multiple times. No matter what I do it reverts back to post and eliminates my sidebar.

Marcus- with all due respect, I did not double post. What you replied to was a different problem entirely from this one.

sorry, my bad, lots of open tabs 🙂

it depends on your theme, sometimes this can’t be done via the plugin, so the other option is to copy the page.php (most themes have this) file of your theme and simply rename it to single-event.php

if you don’t have a page.php file the you need to find the file that generates a page and use that in the single-event.php file
