• I’ve just installed WP 2.1.3 on my site and attempted to upload two seperate themes (Life is a Byte & RockinBizRed). However, when using these themes as installed both fail to show proper graphics. The Classic and Default theme appear to be working just fine.

You can view the blog with RockinBizRed installed here. The RockinBizRed theme should look like this.

Any ideas what I’ve done wrong?

    Thanks

  • Um yes,

Thats not the name of the theme — you changed it. That alone didnt cause your problem, its what you changed it to.

NIX based filesystems dont like spaces in filenames. A directory is a file to NIX.

    Remove the spaces.

I removed the two themes and reinstalled RockinBizRed3 theme and left the folder file name as RockinBizRed3col-11 and am still having the same problem.

    Anybody else have any insight?

you have to upload the images.

the zip extracts so that inside the theme directory, there is another directory — named images.

Inside that directory are 4 images.

(or did you want to wait for someone else?)

Wow. Do you always get so bent out of shape when people ask others for help? Your original response didn’t help me at all so I asked if others could offer solutions hoping they didn’t assume your response worked.

My apologies for not including you in that group.

You may have (accidentally) found the problem. There is no images directory in the extract. I’ll look into that. Seeing as how I’ve downloaded the ZIP file numerous times (and from two locations in one case) and still have the same problem I’m left somewhat stumped.

So, in the meantime, if WHOAMI (probably the greatest poster in the history of this community) or any other member would like to provide some guidance I would be forever greatful.

actually my original solution did help – you just dont know it.

I downloaded the zip right off the link provided within the page you linked to in your first post — the download link is here:

    http://themes.wordpress.net/download.php?theme=2074

and there is most definitely an images directory within that zip.

whether or not you are unzipping the archive in a way that preserves the directories is the issue.
