• Hi. I need help with transferring wordpress from a cpanel server to a direct admin server (VPS). The DNS is pointing to the new server, but I get a blank white page on home page. wp-admin works but the home page doesn’t. The folder layout of the new server is different, and I get a message in wp-admin that says it can’t find the content folder. How do I make all the necessary changes so it finds the right folders (like finds the right content folder) in the new folder layout in the new server?

The folder layout is different. On my old server it was /home/public_html/website.com/ and now it’s /domains/website.com/public_html/

I have changed the line in wp-config to the directory, but I don’t know what else to change. I have access to PHPMyAdmin if I need to change anything there. I also have FTP access.

What do I need to do so I can see the website and so wordpress sees my content folder.

By the way I have a security plugin installed from the old server that renamed the content folder so it’s renamed, not called wp-content. But it worked 100% on the old server, I just think that somehow it’s looking for it in the old folder layout /home/public_html/website.com

    Thanks!

I wanted to mention that the old directory wasn’t what I mentioned. It’s /home/lynny/public_html/website.com
