• I am trying to update and publish an existing page. I can “Update” (and it is “revised” with new date/time) but, after nearly two hours, I can’t figure out how to “Publish”. I have read dozens of posts in the forums to no avail. This site was designed and originally published by a designer (now gone) with the “Sentence” theme. I have tried changing the screen options from one to two columns and back again, but only get the “Update” button. Thank you.

  • After a page is published and is currently published there is no longer a publish button when you are editing the page, it shows an Update button instead. The update button is in the Publish widget on the right side when editing a page or post.

If it is only showing you “Update” as an option then it is currently published. If you make the page a draft then the publish button will appear again.

Let me know if this is what you were asking about, I could be completely off.

Thanks Paul. I am only trying to update (publish) the title and description meta tags on each page. While they are “updated”, they do not show on the “view” or live pages of the site, nor in the Source Code.

This appears to be an issue with a plug-in: All in one SEO Pack. This issue (info not publishing) only occurs on the Home (index) page – nice! Also, all support for this once free plug-in has moved to a paying Support Forum – Nice again!
