I have a site with a static home page, and I use a different page called “Blog” for all the latest posts.

I am trying to import an old WordPress blog into this new site, and am using the “Import” function with an XML file export of the old blog. It imports fine, and the old posts show up on the “Blog” page as they should. However, the navigation links that are added to the “Blogs” page to switch between pages of old posts do not work properly–when you click on the arrow symbol for the next page or click directly on page “2” or “3,” the link takes you back to the static home page instead of sending you to the additional pages of the blog.

I am using the Weaver II theme and find no way of telling WordPress to change that link to the correct page. Any help is appreciated.

Hmmm…I just was playing around with the “Permalinks” settings and managed to fix the problem, though I don’t know why it worked.

I changed from the default settings to the “Numeric” setting, and it added corrections to the link on my Blog page.

Don’t know why that worked, but hey, I’ll take it.
