How to change welcome e-mail

    What is file with welcome e-mail text?
    I am not interested in plugin which everbody is mantioning.
    I want to change it manually.

    I looked in pluggable.php but it is not there.

    wp_new_user_notification is in the pluggable.php file but it is not a good idea to modify it as any changes you make could be lost when an update comes along. It is much better to use a plugin.

    I tried to use SB Welcome Email Editor but it was in conflict with some plugin. Anyway I believe it is best to use as little plugins as possbile. I changed welcome text couple of months ago and new users get that new text but new text is not in pluggable.php
