    I can’t see what you mean http://snag.gy/bs4b1.jpg .
Have you cleared your browser cache in Firefox?

Thanks for your prompt reply! I hadn’t, but I cleared my cache just now following your advice and I still go straight to the page.
It’s reassuring to see that you can’t simply get at the page, but I’m not sure why I can — it’s not just on one computer either, it’s both on my desktop and our laptop.
Any idea what else may cause it?

I would check out your website on another machine, outside of your IP network. Maybe a virtual machine like this http://www.silveos.com/ may provide a more reassuring answer.

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll try from a computer that’s not on our network tomorrow.

I’m glad most people won’t be able to get in just like that, but I’m still curious to know why my desktop and laptop do let me in. Could it be to do with the cookie? When WordPress updated, it reset the default cookie time-out to 10 days. I have since changed that to 30 minutes in wp-login.php, but perhaps that doesn’t overwrite the previous cookie?

Which brings me to a related question, is there a way of setting the cookie time-out in such a way that it isn’t overwritten whenever WP updates?

    Thanks again
