I’m using FrontPage to manage my mydomain database. I set it up for Frontpage support and it has been working correctly in that capacity.

This is the first time I have tried to load a database. The domain server says everything is ready and I configured the wp-config.php file and then loaded Wordpress to the server, all of it in a folder called wordpress. Was I suppose to load it without any folder? When I attempt to install I keep getting that Error establishing a database connection message.

You can put the WP files either in the Root, or in a subfolder. If you put it in a subfolder then that folder is the address of your blog unless you take special steps described in the Codex (like if you want WP in a folder but you want the address to be the root, or vice versa).

One issue I'm not sure about is Frontpage. I know that you do not want to design WP pages in the Frontpage program! It's bad. But I'm not sure whether having Frontpage to manage your domain is a problem or not. If you can do without, I would do without that and just use WP.

The issue with database-connection Error, is usually you haven't got the right variables in your wp-config, and/or you don't have a database set up. Make sure of database name, login, password

    hope this helps

Thank you very much. Well, the data base is set up and it sounds like the subfolder location is not an issue, so I'll check my configuration.
