  • I believe you need to do a localhost install

Edit: I put a link in there but it’s not showing up.

there is some general info from the Codex:

    Hi prince01

If you want to “practice” using wordpress I recommend using a free program called instantwp

You install it on your PC (Does not work on Macs) it is very simple to install and use. You do not need a web host but you do need to have internet access when using it. It looks and performs exactly like a hosted version of WordPress. You can install plugins, themes and do everything else you would do on a live site. Once you get the hang of it you can continue to use it to develop your site or just to try out plugins or upgrades.

I use it and it has worked flawlessly for me. It is also well supported by the developer. Here’s the link to the site intstantwp
