Parse Error During Install (2 posts)

    Hiya,

    I have just uploaded the files, connected to the DB and I keep getting this whenever I run install.php

    "Parse error: parse error, unexpected $end, expecting '(' in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\murraydouglas.com\httpdocs\wordpress_test\wp-includes\link-template.php on line 494"

    Any ideas? is the "C:\" thing correct? I didnt think there was a C: on a web server?

    If your host is running your account on a windows box then your site might be on their C: drive.

    If your host meets the requirements for WordPress, and PHP and MySQL are installted for your account, then it might be as simple as the wordpress files are intact requiring you to reupload those file.
