• Background:

    Deployed Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
    Ran LEMP Stackscript
    Ran WP 3.5 Multi-Site Stackscript

Everything setup fine, but I decided I didn’t want the multi-site

    Removed my Ubuntu installation

Re-deployed Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, LEMP Stackscript, WP 3.5 Single Site Stackscript

I believe I accidentally input the wrong WP Database username when running the stackscript.

Got “Error Establishing Connection With Database” on front page.

Edited wp-config.php to correct MySQL username (cfauver)

Still get “Error Establishing Connection With Database” on front page

    On wp-admin I get:

We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the walk2metro database.

    Are you sure it exists?
Does the user cfauver have permission to use the walk2metro database?
On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like username_walk2metro. Could that be the problem?

The database exists, I think the problem is since I ran a stackscript with the wrong user originally, the permissions are messed up in mysql, and I cannot re-run the stackscript because the database already exists it won’t overwrite it. Any help on how I give the correct user the correct permissions?

I decided to just redeploy and run scripts again with correct username..which was easier..

if you feel like answering I would be curious
