It should display the message of “You need to be logged in to participate in the chatroom.” if you visit the chat room link and are not logged in. This wouldn’t be related to redirects at all as it’s part of a filter applied to the_content() of the chat room post type single view.

Feel free to pastebin any patches you have, we’d love to look them over and consider them.

How to show chat is not registered users ???

otto64, the plugin has a check for if the user is logged in or not on line 206-209 in chat-room.php in the plugin file. While I wasn’t around when the plugin was originally developed, I am around now. I think that would be a good idea to have a toggle for. If you need to, you can amend those lines and remove them if you want your chat to show no matter what.

However note that I’m now going to put it in the roadmap to offer a setting for that and it will be toggled to hide by default. Once I get that update out the door, and you upgrade, you’ll need to take a moment to uncheck the option. Won’t be anything for a long process.

Any update on this? Would like to know two things

    1. How can non registered users use this?
    2. Can I put a shortcode on a page to fit in with the styling?

Hadn’t had a chance to touch this much, to be honest andredup88. You should be able to override the styles easily enough, and I believe Eric, who started this plugin, left the stylings light.
