    I have been trying to get a working WordPress on Yahoo for way too long. The install wizard says, Congratulations. Once I start to post and categorize, it “breaks.” I assume there is a database problem. I’ve called Yahoo and written emails. I have deactivated and reinstalled.
    Has anyone gotten a good install?
    After going through older posting here, I am ready to change hosting services.

    You can get WordPress installed on Yahoo but you have to make sure your Database Administrator, which will be your DB_USER in wp-config.php gets all rights–meaning you have to install the Database Admin tool (phpMyAdmin) then use phpMyAdmin to edit the users table record for the Database Admin and set all the Privileges to Yes. Once that’s done, WordPress seems to install and work properly.

    Also, I notice you are using 2.0.2 which I believe is what Yahoo installs in the blogging tool area. You might want to use Version 2.2 and follow Installing WordPress.

    Thanks, Michael H. I went ahead and switched hosts to bluehost. In less time than it took you and I to write these emails, I was up and running with my first version of WordPress.
    I’m loving it.
