• I’m getting a long list of warnings at the top of my dashboard. I know that I need to update and am thinking that this may be the problem since the theme is a woo theme called fresh news and haven’t updated since version 2.3 .This is a list of the warnings.

  • All those warnings are coming from the same line of code in the /wp-content/plugins/wp-fb/wp-fb.php. Is that the Facebook Autoconnect Plugin?

I’m not sure if you’re saying you’re using the Fresh News theme version 2.3 or WordPress 2.3. If it’s the latter, you do have some updating to do. If it’s the theme you haven’t updated, you could try switching to one of the default themes temporarily to see if the warnings go away. That would point the finger at the theme and you could try updating it.

If you just want to get rid of the warnings, have you tried deactivating the plugin?

I believe it’s the fresh neww version 2.3 I don’t believe that the wordpress version is that old. So if I disable my facebook connect plugin it may fix the problem?

Yes, it looks like all the errors are coming from your Facebook plugin.

I backed up my site then I disabled all social sharing plugins. I then updated both the theme and WP to the latest versions. I then closed the browser, reopened it and it is still coming up with the same warnings. Strange. I thought that it would possibly change things on the site if I updated but the site still looks fine. I just wish I knew why the warnings are still showing up.

    Try renaming the folder:
    /wp-content/plugins/wp-fb
    to:
    /wp-content/plugins/wp-fb-deactivated
and then re-test. That’s the location and plugin where the file is that’s causing the errors.
