• I’d like to have a theme switcher on my site as my preferred theme doesn’t seem to work well with iPads so I’d like an alternative theme for iPad users. But the theme switcher plug ins that I’ve tried — theme switcher, theme switcher reloaded, and toolbar theme switcher — all seem to be incompatible with the latest versions of WordPress.

Here are my symptoms. First, when any of the above theme switchers are active, the themes showing on the Appearance:Themes page get mixed up, with some or all of the themes taking the names and icons of one of the other themes. Second, when Theme Switcher or Theme Switcher Reloaded are active, the sidebar disappears on the blog regardless of which theme is active.

Third, the Toolbar Theme Switcher doesn’t disturb the sidebar, but how do I make the toolbar visible for ordinary users so they can switch the theme? If I could get an answer to that question, I could live with the other bugs.

My site, by the way, is http://ti.org/antiplanner
