No. You are giving the ability to hide the screen button, but if I hide the screen button to users, they will not be able to change which metaboxes they want to display.
If you add an additional feature to selectively choose which metaboxes the users should be able to see, that would be great.
Saying in other words: if I use the plug-in to hide the screen option, the users will see only the default metaboxes already checked in the screen bar. You should give the possibility to change which metaboxes to show (the default meatboxes) before hiding the button, or perhaps there is another plug-in for that.

– add metaboxes function in “Screen Options and Help Show Customize”;
– let metaboxes function be different for each role.

Another note: you give the option to “hide” the metaboxes, but you do not allow to set the default status. It would be useful also to set the default status: i.e. if the metaboxes show or not when the users create a new article/page. 🙂

Thank you. I meant something else: when an author creates an article/page, it would be nice to be able to let the admin decide which metaboxes s/he sees when he uses the New Post/Page feature.
