• Hey – Sorry, I’m a little new to WooCommerce and e-commerce sites in general, but if you have any insight to offer, pelase do so!

I have a site built on woocommerce and everything is done, however, I am not confused as to how I will ship my products out. I plan to buy the UPS or USPS woocommerce plugin but I want to know what exactly it does. Will it calculate the shipping costs to each location people order from automatically?

Additionally, once people order – will I get their billing address in the wordpress admin panel? Do I send these addresses to UPS/USPS or do I manually have to print them and put them on the boxes my self?

Any suggestions are much appreciated! thanks

  • Yes I want to know this too, I want to ship using usp ground.

    Hi

    Try reading this http://wcdocs.woothemes.com/user-guide/ups-shipping/

It will do most things for you.

As far as i know thought, this extention will not print of your shipping label and actual stick it on the parcel for you, i would think that is a manual job.

correct. I have the UPS plugin. all it does is calculate the cost of shipping based on your package weights and sizes (you need to have dimensions and weights for all your products for accuracy, of course)

If you want a bit more automation, you could go with shipstation. It requires you pay for the shipstation.com service, but it does quite a lot.
