In the post above on this support forum, rkollmeyer writes a solution to the problem that some of us have - the function blog by email does not include the body of the email.

He writes that Commenting out line 372 "continue;" in clas-pop3.php takes care of his problem so far!

The same i happening for me - when commenting out that same line, suddenly the body from emails appears!
Though with an extra dot at the end!

Some gets the last line repeated!

Is there an error in the blog by email function?
Why can we get it to work when using the method above?

Hope for an answer and solution soon.

i'm in the same boat as you, I can make it work but it puts a period at the end of the post...

I replaced my wp-includes/class-pop3.php with the one from WP 2.1.3. The body of the email comes up fine, with no period at the end. Seems like there's something wrong with the file in WP 2.2.

Thanks, I did the same thing but with version 2.0.6

    Everything is just fine.

I've tried with both WP 2.13 and WP 2.0.6 and nothing worked... I get the subject in the header and nothing else.

    Any ideas?

I've now also tried to comment out line 372 as suggested above. Still no luck... :-( Still only the subject shows up (no body).

I'm not technical enough to know how to "comment" something out... would someone be able to email me the updated php file, so I can just replace it?

It is easier just to replace the class-pop3.php file from WordPress 2.13.

Also, make sure you are NOT using Gmail. This will cause your post to have problems.

Finally, make sure you are posting TEXT emails, HTML emails will also have problems.

    Hope this helps,
    Steve

i thought i had missed this problem, although i am experiencing the Firefox doesn't fire footer code problem, see other post. Now i am not seeing the message body too, will try and do some testing to see if it is something easy like messages of odd length (i have had some messages post).

In the meantime can someone point me to the 2.13 release?

found 2.13 source tree, installed wp-mail.php and class-pop3.php

working, seeing a bit of weird formatting but it is mostly working.
