I see discussions about zip files but what about .enc files?

I’ve been trying to get someone from backuptechnology to call me back about how to decrypt my .enc file. NO LUCK.

I have a .enc because the plug-in failed on every attempt. Sometime back I chose to save the backup local – which seemed to have worked. Now I need one of the files back and can’t do anything with the file. HELP!

    Hi Jamie,

There is no support via the website – it’s different department completely. It mentions this on the website page for the plugin, on the WordPress plugin repository and also in the plugin itself.

When you say failed everytime, what was the problem? You enabled encryption and then it worked? Just want to clear up the details.

To decrypt enc you just use the plugin. It has a Decrypt a Backup page. This will let you convert the enc to a zip that is not encrypted. If the enc is big you can FTP upload, the Decrypt a Backup page will explain where to FTP upload.

    Regards,

    Jason
