problem with wp 2.2 & encoding

    I installed &&re installed WP several times without getting resolove my proble. My blog is a multi-langs.strang symbol or ????
    After restoring my old db I get strang symbol or ???? in the post,
    even itried begin from begning and post my old stuff again the same result: strang symbol or ????
    I tried also to change reading encoding options like ISO 8859-1
    UTF-8
    I get with UTF-8 the french post working correctly but find no way to resolve the problem with persians one.
    I wonder if there is a way to solve this problem, I would appreciate if you could help me to overcom this trouble

    If upgrading, delete these two lines from your wp-config.php file:

    define(‘DB_CHARSET’, ‘utf8’);
    define(‘DB_COLLATE’, ”);

    converting a mySQL db from iso-latin to utf-8 encoding seems to be a little bit tricky. You have to convert your text fields to “BLOB” Fields in mySQL.

    Many tanks Michael & ivli705 for your help,
    I removed 2 rows mentioned in Michael post and it works fine
    with persian encoding. I did not test to restore db
    I have quite tough times with encoding trouble
