I know this has been asked and answered before, but I have disabled all boxes in both the pages and posts under Screen Options, and I have disabled every last box in the Comments section of Settings and the comments in Jetpack. But I can’t seem to disable the “Leave A Reply” and all the header info like author, date, etc as seen below:

I would love to move along to get beyond this simple matter before “tinkering” with the PHP on my own, always a shot in the dark. Any clues out there? Exact PHP would be nice, if that’s what it takes to abolish the offending features.

It’s a wonderful theme, but my client is very specific.

    Thanks,

    GT

  • Try asking on the theme’s dedicated forum: http://themeid.com/forum/forum/10/responsive-theme/

Just a very quick FYI, if this is still on, that means that you have approved comment. Also see and further if needed.

Emil, as I pointed out, rather unclearly it seems, all discussion settings have been unchecked. I read them through, and cannot fathom why any should be checked when I don’t even want to SEE that Leave A Reply form on ANY page. I watched our video, and learned nothing.

I actually have done the same operation successfully on another site I designed and maintain, using a different theme (http://loudouniwla.org), so I think somehow we are not communicating the same issues here.

I need both the page headings and the footer “reply” or “discussion” forms to vanish off the pages. This is a very small site, seven pages. I am using WP Pages rather than WP Posts. I need this to look like a standard website.

Thanks for your assistance in advance if you think of something else. These options aren’t working.

    Still no cigar, Emil.

cannot fathom why any should be checked when I don’t even want to SEE that Leave A Reply form on ANY page.

Some spam bots target the comments scripts directly which may bypass your settings. Also doublecheck that this isn’t a trackback rather than a standard comment.

    Solved here 🙂

    Thanks,
    Emil
