Implementing hCard on Contact pages

I am trying to put a hCard onto a hosted version of wordpress. Unfortunately wordpress is converting my multi-line <div> groups into single line<p> tags which is preventing the hCard from working properly.

I need to be able to group the various elements of the hCard together in a class. (I eventually want to be able to add other hcards to the page).

Does anyone have any experience of getting a hCard to work with a hosted version of wordpress?

PS: When I put the same code on a normal html page it works.
