    hi,

im using woocommerce. in the “my account” page. When i clicked on “lost password” link..it gives error page

this error seems to happened after I installed BPS and the codes that was generated in my .htaccess. I tried removing codes in my htaccess but my site give error altogether. So re-paste codes and stopped meddling with the codes that was generated by bps.

I tried restoring htaccess backup from the BPS settings but that din help..the codes was still there

I did consult support from my hosting and my wordpress theme support but they are not able to help. So i hope i can find help from your support..

Im not a developer so im not very fermilier with such issue or codes

if this helps, this was what my wordpress theme support replied me.

It seems like the server doesn’t accept the redirect_to parameter. Following url doesn’t work:
    http://www.mysite/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword&redirect_to=http://www.mysite.com
    but:
    http://www.mysite.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
works. A google search “wordpress redirect_to 403” returned some useful hints – all of them suggested that it’s a server / htaccess configuration issue. Please contact your hoster and ask them to look into it and check your htaccess file content.

I hope you can really help me with this issue. If not teach me how i can remove and restore the htaccess codes to its original..so i can see what are the other issues please?

    thxs alot

To restore your .htaccess files to the standard default WordPress .htaccess file do these steps.

    1. Click the AutoMagic buttons.
    2. Activate Default Mode on the Security Modes page.
    3. Use the Delete wp-admin .htaccess feature on the Security Modes page.

If the problem is still occuring at this point then the problem is not related to .htaccess files or BPS.

Let me know what happens at this point. Thanks.

Ok if the problem is not caused by BPS then you need to isolate the problem by doing the standard WordPress troubleshooting steps.

deactivate plugins one by one to find the issue or problem. when you find the plugin that is causing the issue then you would contact the plugin author.
switch your theme to the WordPress 2012 theme. when you find the theme that is causing the issue then you would contact the theme author.
