   Hello all, I am trying to convert my wordpress permalink structure from archives/yyyy/mm/dd/the-post to just archives/the-post but want to do it in such a way that the old permalinks still work, can anybody please give me pointers on how I can go about this? :)

   (I'm comfortable editing htaccess files, etc. if that helps)
