• Hi,

I spotted that when using a caching plug-in, the same quote is shown on a page every time when I open the page (“This is because the content of the page is cached, dear Watson. This is what caching plug-ins are for.”)

While this is not a bug, I could imagine an extra option (in the admin panel) to refresh a quote on page open – after, let’s say, 10 milliseconds from when the page load is completed (or something like this).

Please note that I am not a web designer by any means and I know sh*t about Ajax but such an option – if it is possible at all – would definitely help to overcome the “cached content” issue.

  • If you’re still dealing with this or for someone else searching, check your options to see if the cache is minimizing the javascript. My ajax refresh stopped working at some point and I was able to track it down to this issue.
