I think this is the version I am using (readme.html just says '2.1').

I am sure there is a float I am not clearing that is causing the problem - my content area is not wrapping the content!
Does anyone have a clue where that might be? I have tried most of the likely places with no luck - or am I barking up the wrong tree?

There must be some fundamental law of nature that one will discover the solution only moments after posting to the support forum!
It was indeed a clear that was needed. I was just clearing the wrong place. The clear needed to come before closing the bodycontent div, not the wrapper div.
