Sidebar formatting weirdness (7 posts)

This is a sidebar/format problem that appears to be resistant to other sidebar-at-the-bottom fixes. I posted about this elsewhere, but have lost my bookmark to that post. My apologies for that.

For some reason I cannot fathom, one day the page format of my blog went haywire. This seemingly happened by itself. I had made no new posts in a number of days.

Now what I've got is a Sidebar #2 that wants to be wider than Sidebar #1 and is crowding over into it, with part of sidebar #2 landing at the bottom of the page.

Can anyone walk me through fixing this? The blog is at http://www.restorativepractice.org/blog

    THANKS!!!
    Cindy

Thanks for that, whooami, that tip helps me keep track of my posts.

Indeed I have searched before starting a topic and, as I said, none of the fixes seem to be solving my problem. It seems like a css problem related to the 2nd sidebar's size, although I don't know why it would suddenly become too wide. I tried removing self-updating widgets (indeed, I tried removing each of the widgets, one by one, and still the problem persists.

Any help will be hugely appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Cindy

its not the searching that I wanted to point out. its the typical cause. -- LARGE images.

    troubleshooting this involves patience.

You remove things from the sidebar 1 by 1.

you view your single post pages, look for one with NO images. maybe you even need to create one .. and look at that in single post view.

theres no magic solution, it just takes time and patience

    You are soooooooooo right, whooami.

Actually the "large images" theory was the first one I checked out. That does not seem to be the problem. Ditto the widgets -- and yet it seems, from what I see on my screen, like a too-large image appearing via widget in that second sidebar might be a culprit. The logical suspect would be one of my "free-content" widgets, i.e., "article of the day", "word of the day", etc. But removing the widgets doesn't seem to help either.

OH, and I forgot to say: problem persists on all the pages. Single post pages with no images: same problem.

I got the problem fixed. Some weird coding in a widget was the culprit.
    Thanks!
