   Hi,

   I was wondering if i should delete the wp-config.php file after install?

   If not, then is the username and password really that secure stored in a php file?

   Do NOT delete the wp-config.php file. It is NEEDED to run Wordpress.
   It it save to leave it where it is. The php files are executed by the server and will not be downloaded.
