  • Hi yamaden,

There are a few things you should check out, as any of them may be the cause of the problem:

    1) Make sure you configured your SEO Friendly URLs properly for AWPCP. More on this here: http://www.awpcp.com/documentation/#settings-general (scroll down, look for “SEO Settings”)

    2) If that doesn’t work, try checking for plugin conflicts: http://www.awpcp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3585

    3) Make sure your Place Ad and View Ad pages are public and published for AWPCP. More on that here: http://www.awpcp.com/documentation/#settings-pages

Failing all of that, please post your debug settings from Classifieds here using http://fpaste.org and we’ll dig deeper.

I checked and couldn’t figure out, so I just uninstall it this time. Thank you.

I reinstalled your plugin and found out why. When I changed slugs from WP admin’s Page menu, the links disappear. How can I use slugs different from its page names? Where can I set up that? Thanks!

Please read this page of the documentation here: http://www.awpcp.com/documentation/#settings-pages

Modifying the page slugs from the Pages admin is the wrong way to do that for AWPCP pages. Doing it from Classified Pages is the right way.

I have already read the link you gave me. What I would like to know is how I can change slugs from the page names.

I would like to show page names in Japanese in the classified page itself (because users of my site are Japanese), but I wouldn’t like to use those Japanese page names as slugs in the address bar.

Are there any ways I can do that?

    Hi yamaden,

Well, AWPCP expects that the page name and slug are related to each other. Like “Page title” becomes page-title. I am unsure how this works with multi-byte languages like Japanese. What does the WordPress documentation say about it?

Changing the slugs from the Pages admin leaves things out of sync with AWPCP, which is why the plugin broke when you did it.

WordPress allows me to use different names for pages and slugs, such as “This is Page A” for a page name and just “page-a” for its slug. It seems languages don’t matter. I hope you would feature that option in the near future. Thank you for your support.
