• Hi There

Just got a reply from a representative from Install4free saying they cant install my blog for me on my personal website as it was a commercial site.

Can anyone explain to me why they cant help install it on a commercial site?

and also is my personal site that is owned by myself promoting my myself and my services regarded as a commercial site?

Look forward to any feedback out there

    Thanks

  • They don’t want too…..shrug

Personally I rather install wp myself
    Keeping passwords my secret.

In all honesty it’s not that hard to install
Takes longer to upload the files, that to set it up.

There’s always the Metropolis install of WordPress if you use Godaddy, or the Fantastico install for cPanel hosts, or even programs such as http://setupwp.com.

And don’t forget the wp-pro email list where the real pros hang out!

    keepitfun,

install4free is a free service, ran by volunteers. They were nice enough to provide you a reason. I suggest moving on and living with it, instead of bemoaning their decision here.

They don’t install WP on commercial sites, probably, because they dont feel like they ought to work for free for someone that is clearly setting out to run a commercial blog.

And thats their prerogative, right or wrong, whether you agree or not. Thats how things work in a free market – shouldnt you already get that?
