Turn off Widgets in 2.2

Hello! I appreciate the inclusion of Widgets with the standard installation, but I’m using K2 which includes Sidebar Modules. Rather than set up my sidebar again, I’d like to turn off the widgets in the WordPress installation.

Is this possible?
