Display multiple posts (Different IDs) on a single page

Hi, after trying literally forever on this WP installation here, I’m trying to figure out how I can display two different posts on that same front page…. Every PHP command I’ve tried I can’t get WordPress to display the two different posts…

I basically have tried everything and I believe I’ve done it all wrong, and so I have no idea what to do. Basically, the intent is to make those two columns on the main text section of the site editable through WordPress. How’s the best and easiest way to do this? I have two different posts so far and I’m trying to get WP to display each of them in the different columns seperatly but I just can’t do it?
